Stage 1 — 210 hp, 420 Nm. + EGRDPFAdblue off
⠀
The owner of a VW Sharan with a 2.0 TDI CFGB engine producing 170 hp and 350 Nm contacted us. The car had been remapped by a third-party company. The dyno and the piece of paper with the 230 hp graph turned out to be just a fancy advertisement. The customer complained of heavy black smoke, an incompletely disabled eco system, and engine problems that had developed over time. After scanning the logs with third-party software, we discovered an incorrect air-fuel mixture balance and a disconnected exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor. Disabling this sensor will undoubtedly lead to turbocharger or engine failure when driving the car at high speeds under heavy load.
We rolled the car back to stock condition and confirmed there were no problems. We flashed the car to Stage 1, and also properly disabled the EGR, DPF, and AdBlue. The car now runs as it should, maintaining safety.
