Stage 1 — 180 hp, 420 Nm
The owner of a VW Passat NMS with a 2.0 TDI CKRA engine producing 140 hp and 320 Nm contacted us. The previous owner had flashed the car to Stage 1, which was promised to deliver 190 hp and 420 Nm. However, after the flashing, the car began to jerk when shifting the DSG, and the owner also doubted the actual 190 hp. Tests on a dyno showed 170 hp and 340 Nm. The owner came to us to update the flashing and eliminate the jerking. After scanning the data from a Noname chip, we noticed that the torque was indeed correct—340 Nm—but the car was not delivering 170 hp. We rolled the car back to stock mode and confirmed that it was in good working order. There were no kicks in the stock mode. According to the logs, the car delivered its factory power and drove smoothly, as it should. We reprogrammed the car to 180 hp and 420 Nm, maintaining the EGR/DPF operating environment, and also disabled AdBlue (SCR) software. The car became more dynamic and as comfortable as it was with the factory reprogram. The owner was satisfied.
Acceleration measurements with one pedal and without rollout (the Dragy 402m measures with rollout by default):
Winter tires, without the option to disable ASR. Wheel slip was low on the Stock and Stage 1 NoName tires. With our reprogram, the car’s performance increased dramatically, with significant wheel slip on the winter tires. In more favorable weather conditions and with summer tires, the car will be even more dynamic.
