The owner of a VW Touareg with a 3.0 TDI CNRB engine producing 240 hp contacted us. The car had arrived pre-flashed by another company. The customer had concerns about the correctness of the firmware. After scanning the logs using third-party software, we discovered that the exhaust gas temperature limiter was disabled in the firmware and the eco system was incorrectly disabled. We reverted the engine to stock, flashed the 280 hp Stage 1 firmware, and correctly disabled AdBlue (SCR)/EGR/DPF while maintaining all engine safety systems. The car drove smoothly and predictably.
