Stage 1 — 250 hp, 380 Nm.
⠀
The owner of a VW Passat CC with a 2.0 TSI CBFA engine producing 200 hp and 280 Nm contacted us. The car had been reprogrammed for both the engine and DSG by a third-party company. The client wanted to reprogram the car for 95 octane gasoline and check the software for safety. The transmission software was poorly implemented, with the redline shifted to 7000 rpm (no point in using a stock turbo), and the torque limits weren’t even all adjusted. We returned the transmission to stock. After scanning the logs using third-party software, we saw that the turbo was at maximum boost and the boost control was disabled (regardless of whether the turbo is overboosting or underboosting, you won’t get an error, and the engine control unit won’t be able to properly respond if problems arise). We rolled the engine back to stock and flashed it to Stage 1 for 95 octane gasoline while maintaining all engine safety systems. The car drove with predictable, linear dynamics.
