Several VW Golf SportWagen 2.0 TDI vehicles with CRUA and CRVA engines arrived for DSG6 DQ250 tuning. Customers were very unhappy with the car’s tendency to drive at low RPMs. This was done for environmental reasons, but resulted in vibration, excess load on the flywheel and clutch, and poor throttle response. We optimized the transmission based on customer feedback. After the tuning, the vehicles became more predictable in throttle response, the unpleasant vibration disappeared, and the gear mapping was enabled on the USA CRUA vehicle.
